Chicago IL news : Truck driver dies, dozens hurt in Chicago train crash

A truck driver was killed and dozens of passengers were injured in a fiery Chicago train accident on Friday, May 13, involving a Metra commuter train and a dump truck.

The train, bound for Chicago at the height of the morning commute, collided at 50 mph with a dump truck in the suburb of Mount Prospect, causing a derailment and fire. According to Fox News Chicago, a motorist who witnessed the accident said the truck turned without warning into the train’s path, going around gates that were down to stop traffic.

Maxwell Age 43 of Austell Ga

A Powder Springs, Ga., man was arrested on first-degree vehicular homicide charges related to a hit-and-run collision that resulted in the casualty of a bike rider in Cobb County.

The cyclist, Ernest Terrell Maxwell, 43, of Austell, was struck from behind approximately 6:30 a.m. on April 9, according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. He passed away at the scene after being hurled from his bike. Lawman interviewed observers to develop a description of the vehicle, which they expect was a 2004 TrailBlazer.

Pa news : Bus involved in critical Pa. collision ordered out of service

A government agency shut down a Wilkes-Barre, Pa., bus company involved in a recent fatal crash.

The U.S. Department of Transportation on March 30 found that the bus company, Super Luxury Tours Inc., violated insurance requirements. The Transportation Department took the company out of service and canceled the firm’s license to operate.
